Coming Soon: Seventh Grade
While we do not currently offer seventh grade this school year, we are excited to continue growing! Beginning in the 2027–2028 school year, we will expand to include seventh grade as part of our commitment to providing a full, vertically aligned academic program.
Below is a preview of what our future seventh grade students will learn.

Core Virtues
At our school, we believe that education goes beyond academics. Through our Core Virtues program, students intentionally develop strong character traits that guide their actions, decisions, and relationships.
Students are introduced to virtues such as respect, responsibility, perseverance, honesty, and compassion, and learn what these qualities look like in their daily lives. Through stories, discussions, and real-life applications, students reflect on their behavior, practice positive habits, and grow in self-discipline and integrity.
As students progress through each grade level, they deepen their understanding of these virtues and learn to apply them in more complex situations—both inside and outside the classroom.
By cultivating strong character alongside academic excellence, we are preparing students to become thoughtful leaders, responsible citizens, and individuals of integrity.
Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA)
In seventh grade, students deepen their literacy skills and engage with complex texts that challenge them to think critically and analyze diverse perspectives through Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA).
In the Skills strand, students strengthen their understanding of vocabulary, grammar, and writing by studying prefixes, suffixes, and Greek and Latin roots. Instruction focuses on analyzing literary elements such as theme, point of view, and figurative language, while also developing strong writing skills across multiple genres. Students write informative, argumentative, and narrative pieces, as well as research projects and poetry, while practicing editing, revising, and applying grammar concepts such as sentence structure, verb tense, and proper punctuation.
In the Knowledge strand, students explore a wide range of literary and historical texts, including contemporary fiction, Shakespeare’s The Tempest, Gothic and science fiction works, poetry collections, and texts connected to the Harlem Renaissance, the Holocaust, and Native American experiences. Through reading, discussion, and writing, students analyze themes such as identity, resilience, power, and cultural heritage while evaluating evidence and developing their own ideas.
Together, CKLA Skills and Knowledge prepare students for the increasing demands of middle school by strengthening their ability to read critically, write effectively, and think deeply about literature, history, and the world around them.

Eureka Math²
In seventh grade, students strengthen their understanding of proportional relationships and apply them to solve a variety of real-world problems. They work with percents, scale drawings, and unit rates, connecting mathematics to situations such as discounts, taxes, and proportional comparisons. Students also extend their number sense by performing operations with rational numbers, including positive and negative fractions and decimals.
Students simplify and evaluate algebraic expressions and solve multi-step equations and inequalities. They explore geometric ideas such as angle relationships, circles, and two- and three-dimensional figures, and they investigate probability by comparing theoretical and experimental outcomes. Through problem solving, discussion, and modeling, students continue to build strong reasoning skills and communicate their mathematical thinking clearly.
