At Cogito Academy, we believe every student deserves the support they need to succeed. Our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) is a schoolwide framework designed to identify and address students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs through targeted instruction and interventions.

MTSS uses student performance data, classroom observations, and ongoing assessments to identify students who may benefit from additional support. Our approach includes three levels of support:

• Tier 1 – Core Instruction: All students receive high-quality classroom instruction and support based on their individual learning needs.

• Tier 2 – Targeted Interventions: Students who need additional assistance receive targeted interventions, often in small groups, along with regular progress monitoring.

• Tier 3 – Intensive Interventions: Students requiring more individualized support receive intensive interventions and more frequent progress monitoring.

At Cogito Academy, teachers and our MTSS team work together to review student data, identify areas of concern, and develop appropriate intervention plans. When a student needs additional support, families are notified and included in the process. Interventions are implemented, student progress is monitored, and the team meets regularly to determine whether adjustments are needed.

Parent involvement is an important part of our MTSS process. We encourage families to communicate with their child's teacher regarding academic, behavioral, or social-emotional concerns. Working together allows us to better understand each student's needs and provide meaningful support.
